Welcome to Genevieve's life!

Welcome to Genevieve's blog! My goal is to post a photo everyday to remember and document just how fast she is growing up. We don't want to miss anything!

New York: Day 2

After a good nights sleep we were ready to hit the streets of New York City! Having been a few times I am pretty familier with the subway system and was able to navagatie us around without much backtracking. Our first step was on the upper west side to a place called Tom's Diner, or otherwise known to the world as the street shot of Monk's Place from Seinfeld. We weren't hungry after our late dinner but we took a few photos.

Since we were in the neighborhood and had some time we looked at a local farmers market and walked up to Columbia University. It was founded in 1754 and is it beautiful! They were doing lots of work around campus getting it ready for the fall. Our next tour stop was Saint John the Divine Catholic Church. It is one of the largest Gothic style churches in the world. It was huge inside and the tour was good as well! No air conditioning though, but they had a nice bathroom and a great water cooler.

Next up a small walk through Times Square on our way to 30 Rockefeller Plaza, NBC headquarters. Daddy and Grandma Diane did the tour while me and you got pizza for lunch and enjoyed a walk around Midtown. We met them back at NBC and walked over to Saint Patrick's for a quick peek before heading back to the hotel. That evening Grandma and I went back into the city to see Memphis on Broadway and you stayed at the hotel with Daddy. Lots more to see and do tomorrow!
