Arizona Day 6

We left Arizona early in the morning so you would sleep in the car most of the way home. Because of the time difference it put us in Palm Springs about 10 am. We stopped at George's house for breakfast and to lay our by the pool for a bit (you know just another California winter). We stopped by the Forever Marilyn on the way out of town and were home to Daddy by 1 pm!

Arizona Day 5

Our last full day in Arizona. We started the day at a local park before driving up to Sedona. We stopped at Montezuma Castle. I have been to Montezuma well a lot of times, but never the castle. It was fun to walk around. There was a sign that said to beware of snakes in the dirt and stay on the path. I told Genevieve to stay on the path because snakes live in the leaves. She asked why snakes live there, I said I don't know, why do you live with mommy and daddy? She said very sincerely, "because I like you guys".

Just a short jump up the free way was great grandpa/mas house. They have only met you once before and were excited to see you. You were a very good girl and enjoyed petting the dog. After a few hours we headed out, we stopped at the red rocks for a few photos, a convenience store for a bag of M&Ms and it was back to Phoenix. You took the picture of me driving from the backseat!

We stopped by Gina's house and then headed off to Grandpa Raul's house to spend the night. You warmed up after about 15 minutes and ended up watching tv in his lap for over an hour. Leaving first thing in the morning!

Arizona- Day 4

We started the day having breakfast with my godfather Bill in Tuscon at a great place called Beyond Bread. It was nice to see him and catch up in person after all these years. He mentioned the ostrich farm and we stopped on the way back to Phoenix. It turns out to be one of the highlights of our trip! For $7 (you were free) we got a huge cup of different types of feed for the different types of animals. We feed the donkeys, the deer, the goats, the ostriches, the parrie dogs, ducks and the birds. The highlight for you was to feed the goats in the penthouse by wheeling up food to them. You loved that!

Next was the Phoenix Children's Museum downtown. What a fun place for kids! Three levels to explore, lots of pretend places, a HUGE tree house and a bicycle wash. They even had a pretend pizza exhibit, just like in New York! Back to Gina's house for dinner and bedtime.

Arizona Day 3

We started the day with a great breakfast at the hotel (pays to be a Hilton gold member!) and then headed to the Mission San Xavier. I didn't know Arizona had a mission system! Next time we are in Tuscon we will go the other couple that are close by. It was beautiful and you were a good girl on the tour.

A few miles down the freeway we stopped at Colossal Cavern. I told you it was where the 7 dwarfs lived. You had mixed feelings, you went back and forth about wanting to get out and liking it. Next time we will visit Kartchner Caverns. We headed the rest of the way to Tombstone for our thrid tour of the day. You were a little toured out at this point and not as good as you were for the first two tours. We enjoyed exploring Tombstone and Boothill. On the way back I asked you if you wanted to go to dinner or back to the hotel. You said the hotel, I asked what are we going to do at the hotel, you replied, We could play princess! Why didn't I think of that!

Arizona Day 2

You had to wake up a bit early (for you) so you were not happy when we first arrived for our tour at the Diamondbacks Stadium in Phoenix. When you saw the pool in the outfield you perked up and asked me if we could go in it. I told you it costs a lot of money, you said "mommy, when you get a lot of money we will go in the pool to see the baseball game, right?".

Next we drove two hours to Tuscon and has lunch at Costco and got gas. We headed to Sabino Canyon and took the tram ride up. The plan was to have hope off at a couple of the stops on the way back down but you fell asleep on me! I pushed you around in the stroller and you woke up just in time to take a few photos. We went to dinner at Pinnacle Peaks in Trail Dust Town. We rode rides, panned for gold, watched the wild west show and rode the train. It was a lot of fun! Back to the hotel to rest up for tomorrow's adventures!

Christmas 2013

It was all about your Dream Castle today. I asked you if you were surprised that Santa brought it for you and you said no, you knew Santa was going to bring you the Dream Castle. You got lots of great presents all day long. Daddy made everyone prime rib and everyone had a nice Christmas, you especially!

Christmas eve is always fun with Papa's side of the family. This year Nana and Papa hosted it at their house and you kept the crowd entertained with you cuteness. You got lots of cute princess gifts that you loved! When we got home we put out milk and cookies for Santa before bed. You are excited about tomorrow.
