1s Pumpkin

It was a big day! Not only was it Halloween but it was also your 3rd month birthday. We went to Adam and Judy's house for your 1st ever trick or treat stop. You used Daddy's pumpkin bucket for all your candy (well, mommy and daddy ate it...). We also stopped by Nancy's house, Regina and Jeremy's and Priscellas. After that we went over to the Truman's house for a Halloween party. Everyone had seen you in your lobster costume so we did a family costume, the Simpsons! Daddy was Homer, I was Marge and of course you were Maggie. I think it turned out pretty cute! We didn't carve your first pumpkin, but it was the perfect size for a little baby like yourself!

Halloween Scary-a-Fair

Every year I say I am going to go up to the Scary-a-Fair in downtown Upland. Usually it is on Halloween but this year it was on the day before. I got you dressed up and we went up for some Halloween fun. It is was so packed we didn't have much fun at all! If that many people showed up for the street fair maybe it would still be there! Maybe the answer was to encourage kids to wear their costumes, we didn't stay long.. hopefully next year it won't be as crowded.

Rolling over soon?

You have been twisting and turning all around, I think you might be able to roll over soon! So far you haven't gone all the way over, but I know soon you will rolling all over the place! You also have taken to your bumbo chair as well. You can sit up so good in the chair now, you only start to slump after about 10 minutes. It must be tiring to hold yourself up!

Hairdo from Daddy

After your bath tonight Daddy gave you a funky hairdo! Daddy likes to make your hair stand straight up so you look like Doc Brown from Back to the Future. But don't worry, I combed it back down for you.

Halloween Shirt

Just a few days away from Halloween and you look so cute in your Halloween tee shirt Grandma Terri bought for you! Your are going to be so cute as a lobster!! You look cute in your shirt and jeans, although your jeans give me a muffin top! We love your baby belly though, even if it does spill over the top of your pants!

When use to put you on your stomach you hated it! You would whine and fuss till we turned you over. Now you don't seem to mind it! Maybe more tummy time on the way for you?! You can hold your head up so good now, even push off the floor a bit with your arms- you are one strong baby!!

1st day of work

When I dropped you off at Miss Nancys...

Well, it had to happen eventually.... I went back to work. At least it was a new job and in a very happy place, Cal Poly! I was so sad to leave you, but I know Nancy is going to take good care of you. Even though I prepared the night before as much as I could I was still rushing around in the morning trying to get everything together. Of course the rain didn't help much either! Thank goodness for the carpool lane on the freeway! I had a wonderful first day and Nancy said you were a good baby for her. Daddy picked you up at 3 and you got some Daddy time in the afternoon. So sad that I can't be with you all day anymore but I know you are in good hands! In the evening your daddy and I went to see the 25th anniversary release of Back to the Future at AMC Ontario Mills. It was just like old times!

#1 Auntie

You got to wear your #1 auntie outfit for the first time tonight. It fits you so good! We went to Grandma and Grandpa Di Donato's house for dinner. Teresa, Scott and Great Grandma came over as well. On our way home we stopped by Uncle Ruben's house. Aunt Marryann was visiting from Santa Maria and she wanted to meet you! She is your Grandpa Raul's sister. I had to get ready for work :( the next day so we couldn't stay long. Hopefully we can do a weekend trip to visit her soon!

Busy Saturday!

What a busy Saturday! This morning we went to Applebees to a fund raising breakfast for breast cancer awareness. Nancy was their and they raised some money by being the servers! Then in the evening you went to Grandma Diane's house. Daddy and I went to the Ontario Reign game. Daddy stayed for the whole game and I left about 7:30 to go to see the Capitol Steps with Grandma and Grandpa Di Donato. I picked you up on my way back. The other day I had to adjust the straps on your carseat to the highest level so you would fit! We also took off your head support. You are going to outgrow your carseat sooner then I think!

Mommy's Last Day at CGU

Today was my last day at CGU and I am Cal Poly bound! We went back to CGU one last time to clean up my office, go out to lunch with those in the office and get my last check. You looked so cute sitting in my office chair! I sat there for many months with you in my belly, feeling you kick and grow. I am looking forward to Monday and my new job at Cal Poly!

More Sleepy Time!

 

You were one tired baby this week! You fell asleep on daddy today after he gave you a bottle. So sleepy! You looked cute in you new pink cat outfit Grandma Diane gave you, my favorite part is the little cats on the feet. All the cooler weather is making us run out of your long sleeve outfits!

Sleepy Time

 

Today you were so tired! You took a nice long nap on me. I love when you fall asleep on me, of course I don't get much done but you sleep so good! Plus it gives your neck a chance to "air out"!

My favorite of the afternoon!

Using what I learned in the photo class I took I decided to test out some of the things I learned. You were a good model as always but to much time in the lobster costume makes you an unhappy baby! I got a couple good shots, but I definitely have lots of room to improve! Thanks as always for being so cute, it makes taking pictures of you easy!

Last week off of work...

Today is the start of my last full week off of work before I begin my new job. I am sad that I won't be able to see you all day everyday but looking forward to new challenges and meeting new people. I know we will have a great week together, as always!!

Cal Poly Pumpkin Patch

After many years of saying we were going to go, we finally made it to the Cal Poly Pumpkin Patch. It was a gloomy day with a few sprinkles but it was perfect weather for photos! You look so cute in your lobster costume, I am going to keep finding reasons for you to wear it! Next year you will be big enough to be walking around and to pick out a pumpkin.

To my surprise this outfit still fits you! You wore this outfit on your first full day in the world. You probably won't fit it in again once it makes it through the rotation so I wanted to take a picture of you in it just like the one we took on August 1st. It is such a cute outfit on you, all the cuteness of a dress but the practicality of a onesie. There are little embroidered hearts and heart shaped buttons on the dress. The outfit is a little smaller and a little tighter then 11 weeks ago, but you still look just as cute!

Great Grandaddy's Birthday

Today was your Great Grandaddy Fortune's 82nd birthday. You wore your so cute red dress Great Grandma Theresa got you. It looked like you were ready to go picnicking! Grandma and Grandpa Hernandez, Daddy, me and you went out to dinner at BJ's in West Covina with Great Grandpa Fortune. We are lucky we all live so close that we can get together as often as we do!

We were waiting for your social security card to open your account and it finally came. I opened up a savings account for you so we can deposit your gifts and start tucking away a little money for you every month. I still wish it was Washington Mutual and not Chase, but I guess I have to let go one day...  And to all our readers out there, as always donations are being accepted...

Bracelet from Grandma

Grandma Terri made you a beautiful bracelet with your name on it before you were born. I finally got around to doing some photos of you in it today. It is a bracelet with your name spelled out in white beads. Grandma said it is like the old hospital bracelets they used for babies (you know back in the days before indoor plumbing, just kidding Grandma!). While we were outside Grandpa Gil drove by and said hello as well as neighbors Regina and Jeremy. Doing the photos I got a couple of other good shots while I was at it and put them up as well!

Angels Vs. Dodgers, the battle begins

Well Daddy got you a Dodger outfit long ago but this is your first Angels shirt. Grandma bought it for you so you could have a an equal chance to like the angels as well, but with the force strong for Dodgers it will take a lot to overcome in this house! For know we are using it as a sleepy time shirt but when it gets a little cooler it will go good with your cute jeans we have for you. I am sure more Angels vs. Dodgers in the many years to come...
