While Mommy went out shopping Genevieve stayed with me for the evening. We were very busy. First we played with the toys and Genevieve found her favorite Baby Einstein radio to play music along with all the other interesting toys to taste and play with. Then we went outside and used the baby swing, but the helicopter kept flying overhead and it bothered her. Sitting on the grass was fun for a while, but that got boring so we went inside and I gave her a bath. Splashing and playing with the squirt bottles was entertaining. Nice and clean we went downstairs and played with the toys, but Genevieve got distracted by the kitchen and all the interesting things in the kitchen.
She found some napkins and discovered tearing the napkin into smaller and smaller pieces was a lot of fun. When she went for the tissues I said no and took them away. She crawled in a circle through the dining room, living room, entry way, back into the family room with a few stops along the way. Back to the toys and she tried to play with the lamp cord, but mean old grandma moved it to another room. Peek-a-boo was next and I was surprised that she can do this all by herself and lift the blanket over her face, then down, and laugh like it was the best joke in the world. Finally Mommy came home and Genevieve was so happy to see her. All that and more in just three hours! Now Grandma needs a nap.
