Welcome to Genevieve's blog! My goal is to post a photo everyday to remember and document just how fast she is growing up. We don't want to miss anything!

New York: Day 3
We started the day in Coney Island with a trip to the original Nathans Hot Dogs. The hot dogs were soooo good! We sat and enjoyed them on the patio, what a beautiful day! After we ate we walked over to the boardwalk area and tried out the beach. The beach had a lot of broken glass on it :( and you DID NOT like the water again. It was probably for the best since I wasn't about to set you down to walk around the sand anyway. Grandma Diane watched you for a bit while Daddy and I walked up and down the beach (avoiding and picking up broken glass).
We walked through some of the amusement park on the way to the Cyclone, which was built in 1925. Daddy wanted to ride the roller coaster, and I said I would stay with you! We visited the Coney Island Museum (only $1 to get in!). It was small but nice and they had air conditioning and clean bathrooms. After that it was back on the train and after some confusion because of construction we made it to our next destination, The Spumoni Garden. Aunt Vita took me here once, we had some great pizza for lunch.
Back to the hotel for a quick change and Daddy and I took off to the Mets game. Grandma stayed at the hotel with you and enjoyed a nice relaxing evening. We got a late start towards the water taxi we were taking to the game and really had to hustle to get there (AKA a light jog through the streets of Manhattan) we made it with less then a minute to spare, sweaty but victorious! The water taxi was worth the effort and we got a beautiful ride up the east river to Citi Field. The stadium was very nice and we enjoyed the game. We took the subway back to the hotel and made a quick stop in Times Square so Daddy could see it all lit up at night.
