NY/DC Day 2

Another busy day in the big apple! I started the morning by heading to the highest rated local bagel place for a Brooklyn Bagel, yummy! Genevieve had a doughnut for breakfast, nothing could be better for her! We got on the train and headed to the Brooklyn Children's Museum. What an awesome place to go! Anyone with kids visiting NYC should go, lot's of fun things for the kids and great things to keep the grownups entertained as well. If we lived there I would have an annual pass.

Next up was a French Dip place called Breenen and Carr. Daddy saw it on the food network and has been wanting to go. It lived up to his exceptions and then some! Grandma, Mommy and you got off on Coney Island and Daddy went back to the hotel to rest. We put our toes in the water, dug in the sand for a bit, rode the carrousel. It started to rain a bit, then more, then a lot. We took shelter in Nathan's and had amazing hot dogs trying to wait out the rain. It let up a bit and we got back on the train to the hotel.

Mommy met Daddy at Yankee stadium where it was just announced the game was rained out! So we had some extra time to see Time's Square, the Apple Store and eat dinner at the Carnegie Deli.

NY/DC Day 1

After an early flight, oh my! It was easy flight and transportation once we were in NY. We dropped off the luggage and headed out to the big city. We headed first to the 9/11 memorial where we had reserved passes for. You enjoyed the water fountain and the memorial was very nicely done. You refused to walk and we didn't bring the stroller with us so Daddy and I took turns carrying you and before you knew it you were sleeping. What the heck!?!? We had sightseeing to do!

We saw Wall Street, Federal Hall and NYSE before we ended up going back to the hotel and dropping off you and Grandma. Daddy and I then headed back into Manhattan (staying in Brooklyn) to grab pizza from Lombardi's and rice pudding from Rice to Riches. It was a long and full day!

Father's Day and CPP Graduation

It was a busy busy day Genevieve! We got going early in the morning to go to the beach in Santa Monica to celebrate Father's Day for Daddy. You loved the baby muscle beach they had. We packed burgers and chips for a yummy lunch! After heading home, me and you got back in the car and headed over to Mommy's work to see the graduation ceremony. Mommy got teary eyed thinking about you walking across that stage in 21 years...

Next up, back home to pack! We are leaving on vacation early tomorrow!

Huck Finn Jubilee

It was a beautiful day out and we went to check out the Huck Finn Jubilee at Guasti Regional Park. I hadn't been since I was little and it is beautiful! Grandma meet us there and we had fun walking around looking at the booths, watching the circus show, seeing arm wrestling, frog jumping and lots of live music. You enjoyed the circus, the playground and digging in the dirt best, at least you were free!

Picnic of paper towels

I picked up an umbrella for you at the thrift store for our upcoming trip. You insisted on playing with it inside the house and set up this picnic under it. I asked what was to eat and you replied "roll a paper" (that is what you call toilet paper and paper towels). Doesn't sound to tasty but you were enjoying yourself...

Rock Superstar

You wanted to play with the microphone again but we found Daddy's Xbox headset instead. You played your "tiki-tar" for us and sang us Old McDonald Had a Farm. You are ready for the big time Genevieve!

The Blue Cookies

You love oreo's Genevieve, I don't blame you. All the magic of chocolate and cream in just the right amount. Yum yum. You often ask about the "blue cookies" (the Oreo package is blue) and sometimes when you are a really good girl you get them. This is you enjoying your cookie- so yummy.
