Casino Morongo
Tonight we went to Casino Morongo with Grandma and Grandpa Hernandez. Grandpa watched you and me and Grandma went to see Foreigner in concert. We got tickets in the 2nd row! The show was so good, I still can't believe what a great time I had. I am looking forward to the pool tomorrow with you Genevieve. I hope you like it better then you did last summer....

BBQ Time
The weather was perfect out for a BBQ! You "helped" Daddy BBQ the steak for dinner. I made sweet potato fries for dinner in the oven. What a yummy dinner!

Snack Time
For a while Genevieve you were drinking more milk then I was making but we boosted your food intake and now I am back to making more then your drinking (but barely)! You have been enjoying all kinds of fresh fruit and vegetables I have been making for you, apples, pears, sweet potatoes, green beans, squash, etc. You also have been loving to eat the little puffs I bought. Instead of the baby food puffs I bought Kamut and Wheat puffs from Sprouts. You get so excited when we bring out the bag! Plus you can feed them to yourself, which you love.

Daddy's Birthday
Today was Daddy's 32nd birthday. Grandma Diane and Grandpa Gil made steaks, twice baked potatoes, salad and cupcakes to eat. Great Grandpa Fortune came over and we had a wonderful dinner. Happy birthday Garrett!

Path of destruction, Genevieve!
Genevieve you have left a path of destruction in your wake. As soon as Mommy puts away all of your toys and you are busy playing with something else, you see the shelves are full again and want to take everything off. You keep trying to climb your bookshelf as well to the 3rd shelf. Your only 8 months old! I guess I will have to find a better place for non baby Genevieve books till you get old enough to now want to rip the pages.
Today our friend Yvette had her little baby boy, John Nicholas Brahy III (Tre for short). She had a successful home birth, how exciting! One day soon you will get to meet each other. Congratulations to the Brahy family on their new addition.

San Diego Day 2
Day 2 and it was a very photogenic day! We started off with a great breakfast at the hotel on the balcony before heading over to Balboa Park. We got to see just a small part of this great park. I plan on budgeting more time next time we are in the area to explore! From Balboa Park we went to Cabrillo National Monument. I have never been and after watching a Huell Howser on it several years ago I have been wanting to go. It did not disappoint! The tide pools were so much fun. Although you have been by the ocean before you have never been in the ocean before.
We had just one last stop before heading home, The Flower Fields in Carlsbad. I love seeing all the flowers in there color coded rows! I think I enjoyed it the most of anybody in the group, but that is ok! Mommies have to have fun to every now and then...

San Diego Day 1
Before we headed out to San Diego I did your 8 month onesie shots. This is getting harder and harder as you get bigger! You didn't want to sit in the chair, you kept trying to stand up and go for the blinds. Daddy had to hold you down to make you didn't get hurt!
We left for San Diego about 1:30 and got to our hotel, Park Manor Suites. I have stayed there before and was not disappointed on our return visit! I got to use my new ErgoBaby carrier as we walked down to the stadium. You loved it! I am so glad because it was kind of expensive and I would have been very upset if you didn't like it!
The game was unique becuase we actully got to see the Dodgers win twice. The game the night before was postponed due to rain and they picked up where they left off and played three innings. They then took a 1/2 hour break before starting the game that we had orginally paid to see. We ended up being at the ballpark 5 hours in total and saw 12 innings of baseball.
We ended up walking back to the hotel and loved all the freash air. We are so happy Brian, Laura, Dave, Austin and Denice could all join us in San Diego to celebrate Daddy's 32nd birthday.
