More baby friends

Genevieve you are going to have so many friends your age when you get older! Tonight Lisa and Eric brought over a very nice gift for you of several outfits and their little baby Athenia was up for playing. When you woke up from your nap you had a good time reaching for her and climbing over Eric. She is about 4 months old and seems so tiny! You were nice and gentle with her though and you had a good time laughing and talking to her.

Gina's house and then home!

We had one last stop before heading home, Cousin Gina's house! Nirel and Ari had met you back in November when they were out in California for Thanksgiving. Gina and Brady hadn't made it out to see you yet so they were so excited for us to bring you over. You started doing a funny thing with your lip when we were over (see 1st photo), it was cute. After our visit we were back on the road and headed home. With our dinner stop it took us about 6 hours, you probably slept 4 out of those 6 so it was a nice ride home!

Sedona and more

We headed up to Sedona in the morning and made excellent time. Great Grandma and Great Grandpa were so happy to meet you! We only had about 4 hours to spend with them but we had a nice visit and enjoyed seeing them and catching up on all the new projects that they are working on around the house. I can only hope when I am that age I am as ambitous as they are! After our visit we stopped and did a few photos with the famous red rocks in the background before heading back to Glendale.

Since everyone was going to be at work on Monday morning we had to get all of our family photos in Sunday night. Dominic and yourself were good models for the camera and we got good shots on the first try. Everyone was sad to see us go the next day but we will see them again soon!

Road trip!

After a morning of school/work, rushing home and last minute packing we finally got everything in the car and were ready to head out! It took us about 5 1/2 hours to get to Grandpa and Grandma Lara's house in Glendale, AZ. They were so happy to finally meet you in person! You were a good traveler as always and took a good long nap on the car ride there. Tomorrow Great Grandma and Great Grandpa are up next on our trip.

Prepping for our AZ trip

Tonight we prepped for our AZ trip tomorrow. Mommy has to work in the morning till noon and Daddy has class so we can't leave till the afternoon. Tonight we got the wash done and packed up as mush as we could so we would be ready to go tomorrow for our drive across the desert! This will be your third state you have been to California, Washington and now Arizona!

Cheerios and Bananas!

Speaking of you being a big girl now Genevieve, you can now feed yourself (almost!) small pieces of fruit and Cheerios. You grab it and make a fist over it and try to get it in your mouth. Not the most successful strategy but I am sure you will improve on it! Also makes feeding you less work for us because we don't always have to be spooning it into your mouth. I am so happy to have my happy little girl back. I didn't like when you weren't feeling good Genevieve, I am glad to have my smiling and happy baby back!

I had called your Daddy from work to see how everything was going this afternoon and when he picked up the phone I heard "No Genevieve don't do that". You had figured out how to unsnap the tray off of your high chair and you were midair dumping all the cherrios onto yourself. I laughed and laughed, I can't wait to see you do it! 

Bye Bye to Baby Things

It was time to say bye bye to some of your baby things last night Genevieve. YOu had outgrown your infant car seat and bouncer sometime ago but it was hard for me to let them go. Doing so would admit that you weren't little anymore! Julia is expecting a baby girl in April and I gave your car seat and bouncer away to a new home. I know you won't miss them but I will always remember how you loved that little bouncy seat and would spend hours so happy in it. Your growing up and getting to be a big girl now Genevieve!
