Finally Friday !

Well Baby Genevieve I made it through my 2nd full week of work. I am so glad it is Friday!! With the warm (ok record breaking) heat we are having you got to wear your little yellow dress for the 1st time, it looked so cute on you! I finally got a picture of your tongue all the way, it is so long!!!!

Today was the 25th anniversary of Back to the Future. There was a "reanctment" of the scene that was filmed at the Puente Hills mall (in the movie known as "Twin Pines Mall". Grandma and Grandpa Hernandez watched you and Daddy, Dave and I went out to see what the action was all about! There was a big crowd, a couple DeLoren's and a screening of the movie. We didn't stay for the movie, but we had a good time. (Genevieve, ask your daddy about the garlic bread one day...).

Mommy worked all day...

Poor little Miss Genevieve! Mommy had to work all day. I dropped you off at Nancy's house at 7:35 and didn't see you again till 10:15 at night! Daddy took good care of you and I made lots of food for you when I was gone. I missed you so much, looking forward to spending time with you this weekend!

Thumb sucker

You use to suck on whatever fingers made it's way into your mouth, but now it seems like your thumb is making it way in more often then the others! Even when I put your pacifier in you will take it out and put your fingers in instead. There is no stopping you!

Your 1st election! 18 more years till you can vote but you went with me on a nice walk over to our polling place to vote in the mid term elections. Looks like for Governor Jerry Brown won, Lt. Governor Newsom and a whole bunch of propositions were up for the vote. If I can find an easy list I will post here!

The first time I put this outfit on you, your daddy said "She looks like she is leading the old people walking club at the mall". I think the vintage pattern is cute, but now every time you wear it I think of you walking around the mall, leading a group of people in exercise!

It was a big day! Not only was it Halloween but it was also your 3rd month birthday. We went to Adam and Judy's house for your 1st ever trick or treat stop. You used Daddy's pumpkin bucket for all your candy (well, mommy and daddy ate it...). We also stopped by Nancy's house, Regina and Jeremy's and Priscellas. After that we went over to the Truman's house for a Halloween party. Everyone had seen you in your lobster costume so we did a family costume, the Simpsons! Daddy was Homer, I was Marge and of course you were Maggie. I think it turned out pretty cute! We didn't carve your first pumpkin, but it was the perfect size for a little baby like yourself!

Halloween Scary-a-Fair

Every year I say I am going to go up to the Scary-a-Fair in downtown Upland. Usually it is on Halloween but this year it was on the day before. I got you dressed up and we went up for some Halloween fun. It is was so packed we didn't have much fun at all! If that many people showed up for the street fair maybe it would still be there! Maybe the answer was to encourage kids to wear their costumes, we didn't stay long.. hopefully next year it won't be as crowded.
