Victoria Gardens with Brooklyn

Grandma took you to Victoria Gardens and you and Brooklyn had a fun time on the train, merry go around and playground. The sun was out and it was a perfect day to play.

Ontario Reign Game

For your first hockey game as an able bodied walker you did pretty good. We use to take you to Reign games when you were a little thing but once you started walking it became somewhat of a challenge to keep you in a confined seating area. I thought I would give it another shot and you did good. We went potty twice, bought popcorn and you even picked up a new song to sing at home, Hey Ho! by the Ramones. Uncle Chris couldn't be prouder.

Moments to remember...

Sometimes I close my eyes, try to burn the memory of your simple hug or kiss, you saying "I love you Mama", even your cries and sad face into my brain. Will I forget the simpleness of these moments one day? Will I forget how little you are, how it felt to have your little hand hold mine when we cross the street, the excitement and sweetness of your voice when you greet me when I come home from work? Sometimes I close my eyes so tight, hold you tighter and try to remember what this exact moment feels like so I can feel it again for forever. Alas, it often feels like sand in my fingers, the tighter I grab the faster it flows out. I never want to forget these precious everyday moments we have Genevieve, I love you forever.

Camera Timer, best invention ever?

Could the camera timer be the best invention ever? You love not only taking pictures but setting the timer (with my help) to take pictures of us together. Once it starts beeping you scream "RUN!" and we run into place and wait for it to beep then you say "Cheese!". You can see two of our photos above.

Adobe de Palomares Pomona

We went to another place on our to do list for 2013 today, Adobe de Palomares in Pomona. Mommy drives by all the time but finally got a chance to go check it out. (Tip: Park in the parking lot at the park and walk over, I circled the place twice before parking there, it is the right place to park)We had a good time exploring the place, though you wanted to touch a lot of things that weren't meant to be touched. I wished I had brought my better camera lens and you would have been more cooperative because it is a a great place for photos.

After we were done we went to Nana and Papa's house for some super bowl food. Daddy met us there and Mommy got to come home and have an hour to herself, what a rare opportunity!

Monkey and Sheep

You love your "Daddy Monkey" and "Mama Sheep". You take them to the doctor, put them to sleep and love taking pictures with them. I often get to be the voice of one, while you do the other.

Brittany's Babysitting Service

Tonight Brittany came over to babysit you while we went to the mall. Mommy wasn't feeling 100% so our more fancy plans got changed to walking around Victoria Gardens. Brittany even french braided your hair! I can hardly get you to sit still for some migtails from me.
