You found the bucket with the trash in it that I cleaned up from around the yard, including the broken privacy slats from the fence. You kept saying I fix it mama, I fix it and trying to put them back in. Better then you trying to take the non broken ones out I guess!

Glue Mama, Glue

Not sure how paint became glue to you, but that is what you call your paints Adam and Judy got you for your birthday. You have been painting Mommy a picture every night, so many I am not sure what I am going to do with all of them! You love painting though, so I pull your glue out every night so you can make your masterpiece. Feel free to leave a comment if you would like to commission a piece from Genevieve...

Mission San Juan Capistrano

Off on another adventure! This time it was taking the train with the Maynard clan down to Mission San Juan Capistrano. We caught the train in Fullerton, and have a whirl wind didn't think we were going to make it, we made it on the train. Easy ride and off the train to a 3 block walk to the mission. The mission grounds were beautiful and bustling with lots of people. Some fun activities like panning for gold and making adobe bricks that were fun for older kids.

After a picnic lunch, we kind of let you kids lead the way around the mission. It was warm and crowded but we made it work. After we were down, we headed across the street to a beautiful new park off Rios Street. It was so pretty and a nice place for you guys to play until our train came. Easy ride back, and back in the car home!

Genevieve's Car Wash

Your toys were so dirty from being out in the backyard, Mommy organized a Toy Wash for you tonight. First up was your car. You were really into washing it from top to bottom. After that we cleaned your tricycle, wagon and chair. We also washed down your playhouse in the back. You ended up a mess but the toys were clean.

Surprise!

Today when I got home from work you were hiding from me again! Of course you were giggling and I could see the top of your head, but you didn't know that. You jumped out from behind the chair and yelled surprise at me. Of course, I got my mommy just got home hug as well, I love your hugs Genevieve...

Chuck E Cheese, with Mommy and Daddy

For your birthday gift we took you to Chuck E Cheese. Mostly so we could see what the big deal was, but also because that seems to be all you talk about. I thought I could get by without paying for the rides and just pretending, but you knew and asked for "coins" as soon as you sat down on a ride. We had dinner (pizza, of course) and played for an hour and half. You had a good time, we will take you back when you learn to use the potty!

August, already!??!

As always, summer goes way to fast, I can't believe it is all ready August! We have trying to make good use of time this summer, pool, beach, etc. Another six weeks or so and we will be transitioning into fall, boo!
