Shopping Trip for Genevieve

We are going to San Diego this weekend and you needed a warm outfit to keep you toasty during the Dodger game Saturday night. Well, in typical fashion all the warm winter outfits had been cleared out for bathing suits and sundresses. We were able to get you this cute jacket that we will be able to layer over some of your clothes that you already have. Afterward bath and bed! You still aren't feeling good and you needed a good nights rest. Headed back to Grandma's house tomorrow...

In the beginning of March I wanted to try to get you to wave by the end of the month and I was successful! This month I said I am going to try to get you to clap. Well it is only the 6th and you already have it figured out! I am going to need to set a new goal for you, maybe long division or a cartwheel?

Lowered Crib

We finally got around to lowering your crib, it wasn't as much work as I thought it was going to be! You have been sleeping in your pack and play all week because we were afraid you would fall out of your crib once ou stood up. Now that it is lower we can be sure you are safe again in it!

Since I have Spring Break this week Genevieve came to stay with me for the day. We had a lot of fun together. After I picked you up from your house we played on the floor and you crawled and stood up, crawled and stood up, and crawled some more. You enjoyed playing with your mommy's old bath toys--a tug boat, some plastic  boxes for the tug boat, and a "little people" person for the boat. They tasted great. Grandma Terri had to make some rules:

1. We don't do it if it is not fun for Genevieve.

2. No licking the trash can.

3. No putting the electrical cord from the lamp in your mouth.

You have a cold and are cough and you nose dripping, so by the time it was time to go home you were exhausted. Through it all, you still managed to smile and play. What a trooper!

Great Grandma's 88th Birthday

Great Grandma turned 88 yesterday and we all got together today to celebrate! Aunt Rita was in town for her annual trip from Houston to visit. It was so nice to have everyone together for a wonderful meal cooked by Grandma. You looked so cute in your spring dress (it even had a bunny on the front for Easter!). Happy Birthday to a wonderful Great Grandma, Grandma, Mom, sister and woman!

Today we went over to Sarah and Nicks house to see their new home. You got a chance to play a little bit with Eric (who was very sleepy!). You even said dog when you saw their puppy Rusty!Although you and Eric are only 8 days apart you were crawling circles around him. He can sit up but you were showing off by pulling yourself up and crawling . I wish they lived closer so you could play together more!

Back to Work

Well after a day off in the middle of the week it was back to work for Friday. You looked so cute in your Daddy's Little Cupcake shirt from Grandma Terri this morning. You were to busy to stop and let me take a proper photo of it though. I chased you around for about 5 minutes snapping photos of your back before I gave up. Tonight we enjoyed our dinner outside on the grass and had a little picnic. You even stayed mostly on the blanket when you were crawling around. Your third tooth is coming in (it is sharp!) but you are handling it very well. A little cranky and want to be held but nothing like when you got your 1st two.
