Last Aquanatal Appt :(

Today was our last apportionment at Aquanatal. You weighed in at 12 lbs 6 ozs (fully clothed!) and we were both given a clean bill of health! I am sad we won't be going back...I have been going every 2 weeks or more since December and it seems weird to think we don't need to go back anymore. I got my letter discharging me to go back to work from Joyce and you slept through most of the appointment. We will have to go visit often and Lynn said she would keep up with you on Facebook.

Labor Day, part II

On to our second labor day celebration! Grandma and Grandpa Di Donato hosted a labor day BBQ at their house. We had BBQ chicken, potato salad, watermelon and angel food cake. Great Grandma Theresa and Uncle Jim were able to come. We brought your bouncy seat to keep you happy and it kept you occupied while we ate. We took your first tree picture in the backyard. There are lots of photos of Mommy and Aunt Teresa as we grew up taken in front of the tree. By the time your all grown up I wonder how big the tree will be!

Labor Day Celebration

It was part one of the labor day celebrations! We went to Jason and Corissa's house for a pool party and potluck. The weather was perfect and the food was plentiful! It wasn't hot enough for you to go in the water, but hopefully next year you will get to enjoy their amazing pool. Lot's of people from the Saucedo family hadn't met you yet and they all could not believe your hair!

With hardly any food in the house it was time for a trip to the grocery store. We have been taking turns going but we thought a trip to the grocery store together would be nice! Grandma Diane offered to babysit you so this afternoon we took you down to her house and we went to the grocery store. It was the first time that you were not with either one of us. I missed you and kept thinking about what you might be doing, if you were hungry or sleepy. After we were done at the grocery store Daddy helped me unload the grocerys at home and I stayed to put them away while he went and picked you up. It worked out so well we might do it again next time we have to go grocery shopping!

Gwyn's 10th Birthday

Gwyn's 10th birthday party was tonight and she had a carnival theme. The party turned out so good! I was in charge of the photo booth and got to capture photos of all the guests dressing up in the costumes Lori provided. Grandma Terri came to help watch you since I was doing the photo booth. We had hot dogs, candy and of course cake! Everyone was so excited to meet you and to hold you. You were a good baby, a hungry baby but a good baby...

Hello Aunt Danette and Cousin Jessica!

Today you got to meet Aunt Danette and Cousin Jessica for the first time. They stopped by Grandma Diane's house on their way back from Palm Springs and we took you down to meet them. They were so excited to meet you and thought you were a beautiful baby (I have to agree!). They brought you a Obama onesies, I can't wait for you to fit into it! Of course Grandma Diane and Grandpa Gil were happy to see you as well!

A day late but....

Ok, a day late but here is Genevieve in her 1 month onesie. A few more rolls and her hair is a little bit longer then last month. At the rate she is growing I don't know if I will be able to get her into her 2 and 3 month onesie with the number on them (they are 0 to 3 months size). I guess we will have to fasten up the bottom some how if it comes to that. Garrett says she has changed so much but to me she still looks like the day she was born. I guess maybe I will always imagine her as she looked the day she was born...

Today we went out to lunch with Dave to Souplantion. We asked him to be your godfather, he was so excited and honored! I made him a card with the photo of you two together and  he said yes! Daddy is talking to Father Charles and we are going to try to get everything set for early October...
