Happy Halloween!

You started off the day with a Halloween parade at your school.Then it was a Halloween party in your class and home to wait till it got dark. Once it was dark we hit the street and trick or treated up and down our block. Then we headed down to Nana and Papas house for more trick or treating. You enjoyed being Belle all night.

Halloween Party

Wednesday was a busy day for us. We had to get ready for the Halloween party with Mrs. Johnson's class and get our princess on. At the party you played with your friends, made a craft, trick or treated, and did our usual songs and activities. You even were a princess pirate with your friend Giana.
After that we went to Pump it Up. You kept looking for a friend to hang out with, but it wasn't very crowded and you had to have fun by yourself. After that we went to Burger King and played princess in the play equipment. Brenda invited us over to practice your Under the Sea dance and see if your mermaid costume will work with the dance she planned. It did and you did a great job.

We played princess Aurora  and later in the day you even made up the game "Princess College." First you gather lots of books (princess books) and take them to your mommy's old room. Then you sit at the desk and write invitations. I had to dance the Under the Sea dance while you talked on the phone.
After a bath and a snack we read books (princess books of course) and you went to sleep. Halloween tomorrow and another party!

Silly Faces

Your new favorite thing to do is take pictures with silly faces for the camera. It is hard to get you to take a photo of just you smiling anymore. You are always happy though, not much I can complain about that!

Doc McStuffins

Your new favorite show is Doc Mc Stuffins. I found this jacket for you at a yard sale and your medical kit grandma got you last year comes in handy when it is "time for your checkup, time for your checkup".

Ontario Reign Game

Let's go Reign! You enjoyed the hockey game a lot more once there was cotton candy involved. You were a good girl through out and even walked around with me during the breaks.

Breakfast at Mollys

We walked up to the library to check out some Eloise books in preparation for our trip to the Plaza hotel. We couldn't turn the smell of Apple Waffles as we passed by and of course your tea set you love so much. I love there food, I wish they were open for dinner.

Princess Show

It looks like Disneyland made an impact on you. Tonight you put on the princess show for me in the backyard. You stood on top of the firewood, sang and danced and then it was my turn. Your hair still looks good!

Princess hair

Your hair is holding steady at perfect. That is some hair gel they use at Disneyland! Since it looks so good I thought I would let you keep it in for a few more days so you had to wear the shower cap in the bath tonight. You didn't mind, as long as your hair didn't get messed up.

Disneyland Makeover

I splurged and got you the Bippty Boopty Book Makeup. You weren't so sure at first about the whole thing, but once they started with the makeup and nail polish you knew you were in the right place. You met several princesses through out the day and had a fun time riding the Snow White ride five times in a row before I put an end to that. Grandma bought a season pass so there is a lot more Disneyland in your future!

Sleeping Beauty (Belle)

Another exhausting day as a princess Belle, you cleaned out the library, had dinner in the castle and read books. Nite Nite little one.

Cal Poly Pomona Pumpkin Patch

The lesson is that there is never a time to go when it isn't crowded. There was a lot of people but once you figured out parking it was ok. We had a good time exploring the pumpkin patch, taking pictures and looking at the community booths and activities. Warm as always, at least this year it wasn't wet.

Big Trucks

It was big truck day at the Rancho Cucamonga library and we got to see a fire truck, dump truck, trash truck and cement truck up close. You even got to crawl int the drivers seat pretend to drive all of them. You like playing with toy trucks in the sand and painting the pictures as well.

Knotts Halloween with Grandma

Grandma took you to Knotts today for Snoopy's Halloween. You dressed as Belle, I guess Snoopy didn't mind that you wore Disney to Knotts! You had a good time and there was hardly anyone there and could walk on any ride you wanted.

Snow White and the dog

Genevieve you make up the funniest game! Here you are Snow White tying up your dog so he won't run away, but the evil witch was trying to get him and you had to save him. The imagination of a toddler!

Snow White and the Puppy

Not sure what you are doing here at Grandmas house, hope the puppy doesn't mind being tied up!

Story Time

I got home just in time to have Daddy read you your bedtime story. This is one of your favorite books. On one side it is the story "I'm my Mommy" and on the other "I'm my Daddy". It was my book when I was little. You love hearing about all the things mommies and daddies have to do.

Princesses get sleepy to

Even princesses get sleepy to! I knew you were tired because when I asked you said "no, no, I'M NOT TIRED!" You crawled up on the chair with me and fell asleep in just a few minutes. Bad news that took place at 6pm. Will you sleep through the night, or wake up at 9pm ready to go? We will see...

Boots with the Fur!

You are my shoe fanatic Genevieve. At the thrift store tonight you found these ankle boots with faux fur trim from the J. Lo collection. You walked around the whole store in them before I made you put them back. You love trying on shoes and the bigger the heel and crazier the shoe the better.

Brush your teeth

You love to brush your teeth, mostly you like eating toothpaste, but it is under the guise of you brushing your teeth. Your lightup toothbrush no longer lights up and a trip to Target is in store to replace it. Also, you have gone from wanting the toothpaste sampler (mommy, daddy and Genevieve's toothpaste all on one) to just mine.

Cinderella Doll

You love your Disney dolls. Today Grandma kept you home from Ms. Johnson's because you still have a cough. I hope you get all better soon Genevieve! It has been a long few days without good sleep. I am ussually anti princess, but it makes you so happy I am enjoying you being so happy.

Dinner with the Lakes

We haven't see the Lake's since they moved to Rochester, NY back in June. We use to love to hang out with them you loved playing with baby Lindsay. They were in town and we were able to catch up over dinner. You and Lindsay got along great and had a good time playing while the grown ups talked. It seems a trip to upstate to NY may be in order to visit them next!

Funny Face

You love dancing up on stage in downtown Upland. You always hope when we walk that no one will be there so you can play Cinderella or Belle while I play all the other parts of the story! Tonight there was nobody and we had a good time playing.

Makeup by Genevieve

You love getting into my makeup Genevieve! It is hard to keep you out, I don't have very much and don't really want to buy new, so it is a struggle. Today I gave in and let you do both your makeup and mine. Don't we look lovely? I told you that mascara was for eyebrows because I didn't want you to poke your eye out (Or as you would say it "My Nye, my nye!"). Forgive me later on in life...

What a walk!

I needed to make up some steps so we set off to the top of Euclid today! We stopped in a few places on teh way but finally made it to the top. I still need some steps (10 miles round trip just wasn't going to do it for me!) so we had a detour on the way down over to Target on Campus. Daddy met us for lunch and you went home with him and I walked down. Downhill is a lot less intense then uphill!

Care Bears Dress

This little dress with Carebears on it use to be mine when I was little. Grandma made it for me, saved it all these years and now I am happy to be able to share it with you! It is a little short to be a dress so we just add some leggings no underneath and it is super cute! Here you are practicing your "balances", walking on the wood beam along 2nd ave.

Cooper Musuem Fashion Show

You were such a good girl tonight for Mommy. I had to go up to the Cooper Museum to try on clothes for the fashion show this weekend and you kept yourself busy while Mommy tried on lots of old, very fragile dresses. You drew on the chalkboard, typed on the typewriter and had a juice. I love that you are such a good girl and can keep yourself busy when I need you to.

Just for Twos and Threes

Today was the Just for Twos and Threes class with Mrs. Johnson. We painted your hands blue and made some handprints to use for our ghost. Now that you are one of the older ones in the class you can do everything with ease. To avoid playing princess again I suggested we go to Pump it Up. You liked that idea and we arrived about 10:30. You didn't want to slide or jump however. You sat with me until a new friend invited you to play and you played for about five minutes in the jumpers and the rest of the time played with the giant stuffed blocks and the crawl though caterpillar. Then you sat with me again. I suggested we just leave and that is what we did.

At my house we played princess (as usual), watched Tangled, and went for a walk. For our bedtime books you chose (surprise!) all princess books and went to sleep without a complaint. Tomorrow I will take you to school for the afternoon class. We had a good day. You didn't want me to take your picture, however, and hid your face.

Night Night, sleep tight Genevieve. You were watching tv and fell asleep on my shoulder. One minute you are watching Harry the Bunny and the next your out. The hardest part is getting out of the chair without waking you up though.
