Vinces for Dinner

We went out to Vince's for a belated birthday dinner for Mommy with Dora tonight. You enjoyed eating saltine crackers, spaghetti with your hands and eating garlic bread. You were mostly a good girl, but you were distracted by the purple and green grapes painted on the booth across from us and kept wanting to go over and see them. Which would have been ok, but there was a family in the booth you wanted to crawl into. Maybe next time we can sit over there...

This Face

This is your Mommy, please... face. When you are asking for something, and or so very politely, like chocolate, you always look so cute. You even ask for chocolate for breakfast some days. I think you like chocolate Genevieve!

Nana Squared

Today was your cousin Micheal's birthday. There was dinner and cake at Papa's parents house. I am not sure what you call a great grandma in Spanish, but for now she is just Nana to you as well. You always love playing with cousins and you had a great time playing with Lina and Sara. 

Photos for blog

Everyday I take a photo of you for this blog and sometimes it is a while before I get a chance to upload them and share with everyone. I know I took a better picture then then of you today, but since it has been a while I can't seem to locate it or know which folder it went into. So this plain picture of you eating cereal will have to do, you do look happy though.

Back home!

After some morning fun on the trampoline and with Charlie (that's the dog) we packed up and said goodbye to Gina, Nirel, Ari, Brady, and the kids. We stopped at Grandpa Raul's house for a brief visit with everyone before heading home (not before they loaded us up with snacks though!). You fell asleep just as we were going to take a stretch break so we ended up going all the way to Morongo without a break. We got out and killed some energy at the dino's before heading home. Daddy and you made Mommy a belated birthday cake- it was yummy!

Phoenix Fun

A whole day in Phoenix so you know I couldn't sit still. Gina did your hair in the morning, you always sit so good for her! Then in the afternoon we went to the waterpark with Brady. You were not a huge fan, maybe the water was too cold, but you did like the wave pool. Later in the afternoon I took some cap and gown photos of Nirel. Heading home tomorrow!

Congrad Nirel on your high school graduation! I had such a great time planning your party, thank you for letting me be in charge of such an important part of your life. I hope you enjoyed yourself and had a party to remember!

Happy Birthday Mommy! 2013

Today was a very exciting birthday for Mommy. We got up early to buy doughnuts for Grandpa Raul. You ate only the frosting off of your cake donut and asked for another one. Mommy went to the dentist while you were a very very good girl and watched. Then we drove across the dessert and came into Arizona in about 5 hours of total time. We stopped first at Grandpas Raul's house and then over to cousin Gina's house. We did some shopping, ate dinner and sang happy birthday to Mommy! A busy day tomorrow, Nirel's graduation party is tomorrow.

WIcked Witch

Genevieve, I don't know how you do this, but you end up under your bed when you sleep sometimes. One time all we saw was your feet! This was you this morning, wedged more then half way under your bed. Don't know what else to do to keep you from doing this!

Back from Chicago

My first day back from Chicago and able to spend some time with my little girl. Mommy missed you while I was gone in Chicago. I missed that big bright smile of yours, your little baby toes, wild hair and hugs. You give the sweetest hugs and kisses. In the middle of the night last night you came to the bed, touched me and said "mama?!??!" I said "Hi Genevieve, it's mommy", you said "Mommy, I'm so glad your back, I missed you". That was a lot of conversation for the middle of the night. We spent the morning today playing puppy and mommy before I headed into work.

Day 5- Chicago

Last day in Chicago! Started off my day with a visit to the old Chicago library which is now the cultural center. So pretty! I fell in love with the two glass domes and artwork. From there a quick walk down to the Federal Reserve Money Museum and then across the street to the Rookery building for a tour. I caught a bus to Solider field for a stadium tour and then back to the hotel, to the airport and home to my baby! I got to take my own photo of you today! You were asleep by the time I got home... :( 

Chicago- Day 4

Last day with the students and last full day for me! We started the morning with breakfast at the Grill on the Alley and then walked over to the Peninsula Hotel for a tour. Next up, a tour at Lawry's (no food!) before waving goodbye and safe travel's to my awesome students. I headed straight to Wrigley Field for a tour and lunch at a punk rock burger bar called Kuma's. Brief stop at the hotel before heading out to see Ivywild, a play at the cutesiest theater.

Chicago- Day 3

Another busy day in Chicago! Headed to breakfast at the Waldorf Asotria and then off to the show for another day of food, food and more food. I had a small amount of time in the afternoon so I went to check out Union Station, a church that survived the great fire before heading back to the Sear's Tower for a mixer. Then off to Lawry's for an alumni dinner. Good thing I am walking a lot because I all I am doing is eating!

Chicago- Day 2

Mommy had a busy day in Chicago for work. Lot's of eating, walking and having fun with the students. We went to the trade show for the majority of the day then headed to the Sear's tower (AKA Willis tower) for a private tour and free skydeck experience. Then straight to dinner for some Chicago pizza. I ate and ate and ate today...

Meanwhile, Daddy took you to Chuck E Cheese for some fun.
