Chuck E Cheese

Today Grandma and Grandpa took you to Chuck E Cheese in Rancho Cucamonga. You had a good time sitting on the rides and watching all the lights. Mommy and Daddy will have to take you John's Incredible Pizza soon!

Upland Lemon Festival

Today we went back up to Upland Lemon Festival. The weather is perfect and we had a great time riding the Ferris wheel and merry go round. You got a balloon that you loved and played with it all the way home!

Upland Lemon Fesitval

For our afternoon activity we went up to the Lemon Festival in Upland. You were tired all morning because you were up from 2:30 to 4 last night because you didn't want to go back to sleep. Mommy and Daddy are tired to... It was warm but nice and crowded! We might go back again tomorrow, it is so close.

Last night it rained and you love to look at the rain by the downspout. You looked so cute in your overalls this morning I just had to grab a photo on our way up to Nancy's house. You for some reason were very insistent about taking the car, but I told you not to be lazy, we were walking up! I ended up carrying you....

Almost time to turn around

It is almost time to turn you around Genevieve in your car seat. I remember when you looked so small in your infant carrier, now you are busting out at the seams of your rear facing car seat. Almost time to turn around and see all the action happening in front of you!

Genevieve had a friend over today, Brooklyn. Genevieve and Brooklyn played while I helped her grandma, Brenda, sew. Genevieve and Brooklyn played with the toys, made a pretend pizza, blew bubbles, and had fun together. They only had a few disagreements about who was going to get the toy. They had fun together and we will try it again.

Also, see how big the peas have grown since we planted them.

More Plastic Fun

You invented another new game. You put the plastic lid from the Tupperware over your face and we tap on it. You like trying out the different sizes and shapes. You were laughing so hard, then you tell us to "do it", so demanding!

Earth Day

Today was earth day so I thought we should go out and enjoy it! We ended up at Red Hill Park with Mommy's friend Dora and her daughter. You had a great time looking at the ducks, trying on her sunglasses and running in the grass. The weather was perfect for a day outside! Later in the evening Mommy went indoor rock climbing at Hanger 18 while daddy stayed with you while you slept. I had a great time and when I got home, you were still asleep!

Happy Birthday Baby Alex

Today was a busy day! We started at Genevieve and Choo Choo Soul with Grandma in Rancho Cucamonga. You had a good time dancing and listening to your favorite songs. You weren't feeling 100% but you did very good. Next we were off to Baby Alex's 1st birthday party. Baby Alex was NOT SHY about getting into her cake. You cared less about your cake, but she dug in! It was quite warm and since you weren't feeling well we left a little early.

You went to sleep and ended up throwing up in your bed. It was kind of yucky but mommy cleaned it up and we gave you a bath. Poor thing...

Bath Time!

You were having such a good time in the bath I had to grab a picture or your big smile! Lately we have been letting you play then washing you up. Two things- you splash all about so we have to refill the tub when it is time to get down to business and you have been drinking the bath water, yuck. You love to take the clear plastic cup we use to rinse you with and say "look, a drink!" and sip it. So gross, but it is so hard to stop you from doing it, you ended up getting a few sips in...

No Pants!

When your little you can get away without wearing pants. It is cute, people like to see your chunky legs, your diaper and chubby ankles. Something about growing older that quickly changes from cute to "put some pants on that kid!". Till then, mommy is going to enjoy your baby legs cute diaper!

Simple Joys

Something about being a baby makes you see the simple joys in life. You thought it was the funniest thing to look through the colored plastic CD holder out at us. I mean, it kept you entertained for 20 minutes. You were laughing and smiling and having the best time. Something to be said for all those toys at the store and this is what makes you happy!

Baby Armrests

For Mommy and Daddy the cuts out in the chair are a design element, for you they are perfect for baby armrests. You were so comfy resting your elbows on them I hated to disturb you! Wonder if that is what the Ikea designer had in mind?

TV Monster

There is no getting in between you and your Wow Wow Wuzaby. You are a zombie just staring at the tv when that show is on, if we let you for hours. It is not available on netflix but for some reason full episodes are on you tube. Hey, I am not complaining, sometimes I need to take a shower and that will do the trick. You are relaxing in the armchair great grandaddy Fortune bought you. A perfect way to cover up the fireplace, you don't even know what is back there!

Birthday Celebrations

Today was a day of birthday celebrations. We started off the day at Great Grandma's house. Since she couldn't come to the party we brought the party to her! We set up tables and chairs in her bedroom and had a birthday lunch for Grandma. We had a good time and I think it added a little variety in Great Grandma's day.

In the evening we went to Nana's house and had a birthday dinner for Daddy. Mommy picked up Yangtze's for dinner. Aunt Christi, Danny, Great Grandaddy Fortune, Nana, Mommy and of course you and Daddy all had a yummy dinner. Mommy made cupcakes and you enjoyed more cake! Next up Papa's birthday on the 21.

Nap time=Blog Time

The past few weekends your nap times have been on the road and I have had no time at the computer. Today you fell asleep at home and I had time to catch up on all the blog posts from April! When you stop taking naps I don't know what I am going to do.

Too much junk food!

Genevieve, me and Daddy decided you have to much junk food. Cookies, ice cream, chocolate, these aren't options for you these are food groups! We need to eat a little better and we need to not give you so much junk. Be a good girl for Mommy will you please?

I made tacos tonight and you took a bite, spit it out and said "yucky". At least I enjoyed them...

Today was Daddy's birthday! We didn't get to do anything for him yet as he went to a concert tonight but this weekend we will have a birthday celebration for him. 

Babies Babies Babies

You and that stroller Genevieve! You push it around the dinning room table, then you tell Mommy to "do it" and have me push it around the dinning room table. You can be very demanding! You will tell me to sit, do it, go, up, help, milk, juice and of course your favorite Wow Wow Wuzaby. You keep me on my feet!

It was time for a hearty dinner and Cask and Cleaver seemed to be it tonight! You were a good girl (mostly) and stayed put for dinner. I had the best steak and potato I had in a long time and left feeling very satisfied! Dave said he would write a blog for tonight so if it comes through this will be updated!

Yes, that is daylight coming through the window. Genevieve slept through the night in her OWN bed. Took almost two years but yes it is possible. Wonder if it has anything to do with me being gone Saturday night, but I will take it. What a sweetheart Genevieve maybe a big dish of "cream" (ice cream) for you tonight!

Easter 2012

After a early start at Morongo Mommy was back in time for Easter. Grandma and Grandpa had us all over and the Easter Bunny left eggs for you all over the backyard. He also left you a little kitchen, you love it! Not only did you love hunting for eggs, you realized that there was stuff in the eggs! It was a double bonus. You ate a good meal and enjoyed every minute of your day, and seeing Mommy of course!

Today we had the first of four "Toddlers and Tutu's" classes. It is a Mommy (or Parent) and me dance class at Body Rituals in Upland. You took a few minutes to warm up but you were in with all the other kids before I knew it dancing and having a good time. You even got a sticker at the end. Mommy then headed off to Morongo in the afternoon for her first night away from Genevieve. It was a long anticipated Mommy break. I missed you but Daddy took good care of you and Mommy got to rest and relax all afternoon/evening.

I came home from work today and you were on the lawn with Daddy blowing wishes. It was so nice to come home and see you before I even got out of the car. You looked so cute in your little top today with black pants, what a cutie!

You still love your play house. You always seem so surprised to see it there when we head outside, "house? House?". You like to just stand in the house and look around. Maybe we need to "move in" some furniture for you so you can be a bit more comfortable. Thanks to Katie again for giving us the playhouse!

Mud Mud Mud

I thought I would take you outside to play in your playhouse. After about 15 minutes you made your way to behind the garage. There was a bucket full of rain water. Before long you were dunking a towel in and out of the water, splashing all about. I then had enough so I poured out the water but because the ground was still moist it didn't absorb all the way. Now you were trucking through the mud, picking it up, and having the time of your life. It was bath time right after and everything had to get washed but you loved it!

Missed a Day....

Dear Genevieve, 

Ok, I missed a day. I made it this far and I missed a day. Sorry Genevieve. I wanted to do a photo right when I came home of you running to me, but you were sleeping. By the time you woke up and the night went on I just had in my mind I already did it because I had had the camera out earlier. You wore a little red shirt with hearts on it, so cute.

Dora Dora Dora the Explorer (Boots and Super Cool Explorer Dora)

Today Grandma took you to the Discovery Cube museum in Santa Ana to see the Dora exhibit. You met up with baby Brooklyn and you two explored the whole place (you made Dora proud!). You enjoyed the dinosaur bones and lots of other fun things to play with before you headed home. What a fun day!

Rancho Santa Ana Botanical Gardens

Today we met up with Julia and Baby Alex for a fun day at the Rancho Santa Ana Botanical Gardens. It was beautiful out and we had a great time checking out the "Big Bugs" exhibit they had happening all over the gardens. There was no grassy area for you girls to play though so you were both stuck to the strollers. The trails were well maintained and easy to navigate with the strollers. It was great to catch up with Julia and of course Baby Alex!
